We know that when your child experiences a dental emergency, it can be scary and traumatic. We are here to help! Because children are active and playful, they are at a greater risk for dental emergencies on the playground, but dental emergencies are not limited to accidents.
Pain, decay, tooth loss, and gum disease can all affect your child. We can help and share a few things to remember when it comes to your little one and potential dental emergencies.
If you suspect a head injury, dizziness, or if your child experiences bleeding that will not stop, take them to the nearest emergency room for treatment. They may have other injuries that require immediate attention.
Don’t panic. We are here to help. If your child experiences dental pain, call us right away. We will advise you about the next best step. If an emergency exam is necessary, we will do our best to fit your child into our schedule quickly.
If your child loses a tooth in an accident, try placing it back in the socket and holding it there. We may be able to save the tooth. If you cannot place it back in the socket, keep it moist in a small container of milk and call us right away.
When in doubt, call us!
